Global Best Practices to Ensure Compliance for Business Continuity

Friday, September 28 | 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

Learning Level: Competent | Topic: Global Regulations

In the current climate of evolving global chemical control regulatory schemes, companies face significant challenges in designing and implementing compliance programs for both new product development and existing product business continuity. These include understanding changing global regulatory obligations and impacts to the supply chain, obtaining hazard information on new and existing chemicals, assessing and mitigating risk, communicating necessary information through the supply chain especially when there are confidentiality concerns, and designing comprehensive product development stage gate processes. Overcoming these challenges requires robust compliance strategies and tools and, without them, there is a significant risk to both innovation and maintaining business continuity. At the end of this session, attendees will be able to pinpoint their key business informatics required to establish regulatory obligations, ascertain the missing information needed for compliance and establish methods to obtain it including a strategy for supply chain communication, and design a successful stage gate process for product development.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify their key business informatics required to establish regulatory obligations.
  2. Ascertain the missing information needed for compliance and establish methods to obtain it including a strategy for supply chain communication.
  3. Design a successful stage gate process for product development.
