Product Exposure Modeling Workshop: What’s in the ToolBox?

Thursday, September 27 | 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Learning Level: Experienced | Topic: Risk Assessment

Learn about the collaborative effort of AIHA’s Stewardship & Sustainability Committee and the Product Exposure Assessment joint working group’s exploration of available modeling tools that can assist Product Stewards to assess potential product-related exposures. This session presents the history of activities and the overall approach that the project team used to investigate available modeling tools through literature searches and networking to promote shared user experiences. Attendees will get “exposed” to results of the project team’s template that organizes and characterizes exposure modeling tools and progress made to develop a user guidance document for selecting appropriate modeling tools. A series of product scenarios will be used to demonstrate the capabilities of a variety of modeling tools. This will be a high energy engaging workshop that is designed to promote interactive audience participation to learn the value of product exposure modeling!

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand basic criteria and considerations integrated into the model characterization template that enables product stewards to select appropriate modeling platforms.
  2. Collaborate in the creation and testing of the user guidance document that helps select appropriate product exposure models.
  3. Identify thought leaders and opportunities to join an informal network of those interested in furthering art and science of model development.
