Thank you for presenting at Product Stewardship 2018. We’re excited to have you as a speaker. If, at any time, you have questions about your presentation or find you are unable to present, please email Kathryn Christoe, Program Manager, Education, or call 1-703-846-0753.

Onsite Requirements

When you arrive onsite, visit the registration desk to pick up your name badge, which grants you access to the sessions and events.

*Saturday's registration will be located on M3. 

Once you have visited registration, please go directly to your assigned session room at least 15 minutes prior to your presentation. You can find your room number on the Product Stewardship 2018 mobile app or in the onsite guide. There will be audiovisual (A/V) technicians circulating between sessions rooms who can assist with any presentation set-up needs. 

We will not be collecting or reviewing PowerPoint files in advance of the conference. Please bring your PowerPoint on a USB to the session room. 

Please note that there is no Speaker Ready Room at Product Stewardship 2018. If you are unable to locate an A/V tech in your session room vicinity, please stop by the registration desk for assistance from staff.​

Mobile App

The Product Stewardship 2018 Mobile App is available in the App Store and on Google Play. Search for “Product Stewardship 2018”. When you create your profile, be sure to use the email address that you used when you registered for the conference.

Session Room Setup & Equipment

All session rooms will be provided with a set that includes:
  • Laptop
  • Projector
  • Screen (sized appropriately for the room)
  • Wireless mics for presenters
  • 1 audience mic on a stand
  • 1 wireless slide advancer (for the computer provided by A/V)
Please note there will NOT be a head table or podium in session rooms as in a traditional conference lay-out. There will be informal seating for presenters in the front of the session room. The new set is designed to encourage presenters to be more interactive with each other and the audience. Walk around, make eye contact, and engage with the audience!

Audience seating will be set in rounds  that can accommodate 50-75 people per session. This set is also to encourage more interaction, conversation, and engagement amongst attendees.

All sessions are being recorded for inclusion in the Stewardship On Demand learning library. As such, it is important that you re-state into the microphone all questions raised from the audience. You may also walk over to the audience member and ask him/her to state their question into your microphone.

Please note that there will not be any on-site printing capability. Please print any supplemental materials you need prior to leaving for the conference.

External resources and handouts can, however, be linked to your session in the mobile app. If you would like a resource linked to your session, please email Ravi Chea at rchea@aiha.org with the resource title and the URL to link to.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide any additional materials or equipment, and exceptions cannot be made.

Presentation Files

We recommend PowerPoint (PPT) for all presentations. Adobe Acrobat (PDF) and HTML files may also be used. Please be sure to use the Product Stewardship 2018 PowerPoint Slide Template when creating your presentation.

You are required to use the computers provided on-site in the session room. These are Windows-based PCs equipped with Microsoft PowerPoint (Office 2010) and the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader, Windows Media Player, and Quick Time for Windows. Other presentation programs will not be available.

PowerPoint files created on a Macintosh computer will open successfully on a provided PC. It is recommended that you test your files in the session room prior to your session start to ensure the proper display of fonts, equations, pictures, and videos. Workstations, projectors, and technical staff will be available to assist.

Any links to outside websites, such as for audio and video files, should be embedded into the PPT presentations. While wireless Internet will be available, we do not recommend relying on it for any portion of your presentation. Presentation rooms will NOT be hardwired with Internet. If you have video or audio files we recommend bringing a back-up of the files on a flash drive, as well as embedding into the PPT file. Please DO NOT simply link to videos, such as on YouTube or other websites, as we cannot guarantee the strength of the Internet connection.

​Virtual Conference

Virtual Product Stewardship is a live broadcast of the conference education. One of the three concurrent sessions will be part of the Virtual Conference. All sessions taking place in Liberty M are part of the Virtual Conference and will be broadcast. This room will also be set more informally, to encourage engagement between the presenters and the audience, and will have a stage and director chairs as well as a larger screen. The Virtual room is larger in size and is also where the general sessions will take place.

If your session is marked as part of the Virtual Conference, please make sure you recognize the Virtual attendees in your opening introduction/ remarks. If there are any questions during the presentation, please re-state the question into the microphone (or ask the attendee to speak into your microphone) so the Virtual audience can hear and participate as well. Session Evaluations

Session evaluations can be found in each session listing (below the session description) in the mobile app. Please remind attendees at the end of your session to log-in to the mobile app, open your session, and provide their feedback. Feedback assists with our planning each year and is incredibly helpful for presenters as well.​
